BECOME A TEACHER RESIDENT
We strongly encourage highly qualified candidates to apply to the North Carolina A&T Rural Teacher Residency Program. A truly unique feature of our program is we pay you as you work to positively impact the academic outcomes of children or adolescent learners.
BECOME A PART OF OUR FAMILY
We seek caring individuals who are committed to developing into educational leaders and scholars to become part of our Teacher Residency family. Qualified candidates will join a cohort of other like-minded individuals who seek their initial North Carolina teaching license. Each member of our program will be immersed in a full-time teaching residency where we compensate you to learn 'on the job' alongside a veteran classroom teacher, an instructional coach, and a university supervisor. While candidates complete the residency, they concurrently complete coursework requirements for a Master of Arts in Teaching degree. As part of our family, we also pay for professional development workshops, conferences, various technologies, and other resources that will develop your knowledge and skills as an educational leader.
